Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup boiled green peas
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for sealing
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Add water gradually and knead into a firm dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine mashed potatoes, boiled green peas, chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle.
  4. Cut the rolled dough circle into half. Take one half and fold it to form a cone shape, overlapping the edges.
  5. Fill the cone with the prepared potato mixture.
  6. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the cone. Press the edges to seal the cone.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
  8. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Carefully slide the filled samosas into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove the samosas from the oil and drain on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.
  10. Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
